Dan Lanotte

The primary instructor for Carpenter’s Mate Consulting is Dan Lanotte. Though not his primary duty, Mr. Lanotte held numerous security positions through his Navy career, most significant being Operations Officer of the base self-defense force at one Naval Air Station. Mr. Lanotte is a graduate of multiple courses at Front Sight Firearms Training Institute and a Certified NRA Instructor, certified in:

  • Pistol,
  • Personal Protection in the Home
  • Personal Protection Outside the Home
  • Metallic Cartridge Reloading

Mr. Lanotte and his wife have four children and eight grandchildren. He served in the Navy for over 31 years, retiring in 1997.  

Ric Morgan

Colorado gun and self-defense laws are presented to classes by Mr. Ric Morgan. Mr. Morgan is an attorney in private practice in Elbert County, involving family law, criminal defense, property law, water, probate and veterans’ issues, and civil litigation. He is a member of the Douglas-Elbert Bar Association, the Colorado Bar Association and the Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims. Mr. Morgan is retired from the US Navy, and he and his wife also run a dairy goat operation in Elbert County. They have two sons, and three grand-daughters.
